6/28/15 – Week 4, Day 1 – ME Lower

Deadlifts for what seemed like an eternity today. I had some motivation going into the training session today after having my Instagram feed blown up by lifters who attended The Second Powerlifting Experience at EliteFTS this weekend. It sounds like it was a great weekend for you guys and I have made it a personal goal to attend the next event like this. Training went like this.

  • Stretch and Warm-Up
  • Deadlift
    • Bar x5, 135×5, 225×5, 315×3, 365×3, 405×3, 455×3, 495×3, 505×3
    • 355×3, 405×3, 455×3
  • Conventional Deficit Deadlift (Double Overhand)
    • 275×4, 315×4, 365×4
  • Front Squat
    • 185×10, 205×10, 225×8
  • Band Leg Curl (vs. mini band) – 4×20
  • Chair Deadlift
    • 135×12, 155×12, 175×12
  • Cable Ab Pulldowns
    • 180×20, 190×20, 200×20

Usually I would have something on my mind to jot down here but I’m honestly wiped out from today’s training and cannot think about anything of specific importance currently. I am very excited for the next two weeks of training because, as I’ve mentioned, I will be able to see where my maxes actually are currently and a better idea of what to shoot for at my upcoming meet. I will be training close grip bench on Tuesday as of right now. Until then!
